They arrived today. I've still not had the dispatch email, order status and tracking shows order in progress not that they've been delivered yet. I should still be fine to proceed with EB before this updates correct?

Tracking doesn't always update the moment goods are received.

In answer to your question, you can go ahead with the EB. The tracking/order status won't affect It.

I played up to a bit in the call saying I was confused as to why I received an empty box but tracking shows it will be delivered tomorrow. Worker says it looks like we are dealing with a missing item and has sent an email just asking me to attach a few pictures and if I'd like a refund or return. So think this will be a quite easy success.
