Amazon does have the capacity to Identify and link accounts In different localities. I'm not suggesting that It will happen, but rather It may happen - If they have reason to Investigate the account(s) externally.

My mate was on holiday in america, ordered a macbook air and said it was an empty box, his order history on the american amazon had nothing and got an instant refund. His account is aged but has history of refunds.
