Air pod EB on Apple did i mess up? 05-17-2022, 12:12 PM

Hello so i just tried to claim EB on apple for air pods and mid way through the conversation i told the guy i was in a rush cause they were for my brothers birthday coming up.
Prior to this he said there would be an investigation that could take up to two weeks but after i said it was for my brother he put me on hold and hung up.
Obviously i fucked up here cause he was probably thinking why did i open the box?
I then called back to a different guy and he was in a hurry to give me a replacement and didn’t offer a refund. He said their not gonna investigate and ill get a confirmation email on my replacement on the same day. He then told me it would come with a different courier not the one that delivered to me the first time (Royal mail) and then proceeded to say “we can offer you 6 months of free apple music” and then i said “i already have spotify” and then he said “wow”
are they onto me?
