I keep seeing stores saying that amazon is on hold for the moment and to not place any order, why is that?

In what respect Is Amazon "on hold?".

two reputable refund store put amazon.ca on hold, they both said to not place any order because they are unable to complete amazon.ca refunds order atm, they are both having issues (they are not related at all)

One of them told me to order from amazon.com instead for the time being, I tried to get them to answer « why was it put on hold » but I failed with both
