This didn't work. I've bought legitly a philips electric toothbrush from amazon a few months ago. I called philips today and told them that it won't charge and they said that I can return it in order to get a new one.

I'd say Philips have caught on.

Apart from a POD, almost all companies nowadays will request the defective Item be returned.
