So how do you think of doing it then ? Do you mind sharing it ?

So lets say I go to a camping trip in a forest, everything was going just fine, my iPhone was perfectly fine, I was happy. Hours in the trip my iPhone just randomly started to overheat, it got hotter by the second, there was smoke, and whatnot; so I had to throw the iPhone in the river to avoid causing a fire, and I obviously got "injured". So I contact apple and hope for a replacement, here's the thing, they need the device back, they follow the guidelines (I really tried to bypass this but they follow their books, unfortunately). And for obvious reasons I don't have the phone I'm trying to SE. But, I was told if the phone had apple, it would be liable for a loss claim. With my current case, the forrest, iPhone catching fire and whatnot, they would have to offer me a replacement without any trouble. (I still have to test this, just looking for an iPhone with AppleCare)

It's hidden within their policy, and unbeknownst to many people.
What It means, Is that they'll Issue a refund/replacement without having to return the Item.
Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I'll continue with the test case; I'll call apple and talk to their seniors, hoping to get something out of that. I'll let you know what happens.

I also assume that the device doesn't need AppleCare to make use of "one-time exception".
