I did everything right but they gave me a "we received the wrong item back" email. I contacted chat and they said we got a much used up VR back and also the serials don't match

You didn't use the wrong Item received method correctly.

You should've purchased the wrong Item from Amazon Itself on a different account, so when they scan the return, they'll see that It's part of their Inventory and assume the Incorrect Item was dispatched.

I left it alone for a month+ and tried to come back. Same response

Records are kept of every claim, hence the rep you spoke with, would've taken over where the previous one left off.

They have no right to dispose of an Item that doesn't belong to them.

Demand that It be returned.
