I have a decently old account (5+ years) with many orders (50+ at least) and only 1 return + 1 returnless refund.

I've already ordered a Samsung galaxy watch 4 classic silver, sold and shipped by amazon

Originally I thought of swapping it with my old non-functioning Samsung Gear s3 (black). (Not a good idea right?)

Then I found out there's a serial number on the Galaxy Watch 4.

Now this package will need to be cleared through customs (this is handled and pre-charged by Amazon) and the delivery guy is the same guy for every order, he can probably confirm that the package was handed to me.

My options:

1. So I  don't think I can do EB or DNA, the package will only contain the watch and Amazon will see customs charged a certain amount for the item + the same delivery guy.

2. FTID: DHL thoroughly checks the address and scans barcodes and I've already read the blog by Mothered on how flawed it is, and I agree.

3. Battery leak. I might put some baking soda + water or photoshop to make it look like a leak and try to ask for a refund without returning.

3.5 If they insist on a return, I can burn my old watch beyond recognition but the physical buttons may be obvious that it isn't the same Galaxy watch 4.

4. Sealed box may not work since customs can probably confirm they've inspected the item and that they charged for it. And they'll likely open the box.

I think 3 and 3.5 (aka plan B) are my best options? Or I should keep trying (3) until I find a rep through live chat that will refund without return? Or maybe it's possible that the Amazon rep will direct me to go to a nearby Samsung service center?

I have done a few smartwatches in the past, One of my favourite items to do is they tend to go by flawlessly.

You say you have already ordered so this method I personally do will maybe help you in future SE's is I order 2 items at the same time (e.x Apple Smart Watch & Apple AirPods) I ait for the package to arrive before saying that the apple watch was not in the box and I only received the buds with the buds costing a decent amount on there own the agent is usually quick to offer a replacement or a refund take which ever you wish and then wait maybe a week before returning the AirPods for a full refund.
