You order an item and have it delivered to your place. You then call the delivery company and say you have received a package for a person that no longer lives there

You then contact customer service of which ever company you ordered from and state you have never received your item and you think you might have had it sent to an old address

Given you're claiming that "your package" didn't arrive, It will obviously be marked to your attention.

So what happens when the carrier asks for the order/Invoice/consignment number, cross-checks the details and Identifies that It belongs to you?
