I recently acquired a Garmin GPS. I used the serial number for a warranty return. They wanted me to return item which I had no intention of doing. Using boxing method sent empty box and received brand new item to sell at my discretion.  And all while getting my wife very interested and she is in the stages of her first SE of a Bose bluetooth speaker where all on her own obtained a serial number from a store and is getting a new item.

I'd be interested to hear your success with your wife's Bose SE. I don't mean to be a downer, but I've heard that Bose SE doesn't work for any products other than their headphones, and I've seen multiple Bose Speaker SE's fail.
