I recently used the DNA method on BestBuy for an iPad (not cellular), I just got the refund confirmation email but in the email, they also said that "keep in mind that if the investigation concludes that your package was ultimately delivered and accepted, we will have to be recharging you for the item." Do you think its safe to activate the Ipad now or should I leave it off for a little longer? I don't know if they can conclude that the item ever arrived because I was supposed to sign for the package but when the Ipad was delivered nobody even rang the doorbell.

leave it for a bit until they finish their investigation.

That way you still have the option to say your neighbour had it and then you can return it if you like.

Did they say when or how long the investigation will take?
