How does Amazon keep records? #1
Hello everyone,

I am wondering how Amazon keeps a record of the refund and if they will eventually suspend your account.
I wonder if they do this as soon as the refund amount is higher than what you actually spend there or if it happens solemnly on their behalf?

Does anyone have more information about this?

Its not necessarily about the amount of money. Its more about the amount of Refunds in relationship to the amount of legit purchases you make. Always male legit purchases between you refunds and dont refund in a specific pattern. Use different methods and let some time pass between you refunds.

Well that’s what I thought and that’s as far as I know about things. I just wonder if there is more to it and if Amazon actually tracks your refunds..

Maybe there is an insider somewhere that knows even more Smile

As long as you dont raise suspicion and your account gets flagged you should be fine.

Records are kept of every transaction, Inclusive of all communications between customers & reps.

Do you know a way to find out when it gets flagged or do you know why it gets flagged?

I read on a different forum online that they have some kind of system that every user gets a certain amount of refund until they get suspicious.

I've written an In depth guide on my blog explaining every possible reason.

Things like unusual spending patterns, SEing too many high value Items In succession, performing a lot of SEs In close timing, consecutively using the same method, solely hitting refunds one after another without throwing replacements In between and so forth- all play a major role In raising suspicion. There's a lot more Involved, but I've only named the basics.

You're welcome, and thanks for your kind words.

As SE'ers, we need to always remain well-Informed and up-to-date with company policies and the latest developments.

Mainly this and some other checks about the account.
