My blog.

As per below, It's not only the cost of freight, but they're also releasing themselves from liability for loss of goods during transit/shipment. The operative words for the latter Is "at your risk".
Quote:You are responsible for returning the product to Micron CPG at your risk and expense
So being inexperienced does this mean this will be next to impossible to SE without an old broken one?
thanks will check out your blog too!

Every entity can be SEd. This however, Is a prime example of why I don't like the serial number method- your options are very limited.
If the Item was purchased, you can use the wrong Item received, missing Item (warehouse or manufacturer error), the sealed box method and obviously the DNA- If they responsible for loss of goods from consignor to consignee.

In this case, It's Immaterial from whom you order. Amazon Is the obvious choice.
When was the last SE you performed, Inclusive of the company and method used?

Actually the missing item can be also caused by the shipping company and the courier itself since they could open the package, steal the item and re-wrapp it.

I would SE another company such as Amazon. Then as the rest have mentioned you have several options regarding how to proceed with your SE.

Yes I know, but I specifically didn't Include this due to the company releasing themselves from liability for loss of goods during shipment:
Quote:You are responsible for returning the product to Micron CPG at your risk and expense
This may also apply to sending the goods, thus It's not worth taking the risk.

in one of my replys i mentioned i just SE amazon, so would not want to do that company so quickly again. couldnt i use any of the aftermentioned methods with manufacturer themselves if im going to purchase it instead of SE a warranty claim?

You certainly can. It is a matter of researching the T&C and formulating your attack plan. That is if you purchase the item and without using the SNs. Perhaps you can see how they deal with your claim and you can gauge if you could use the SNs in the future.
I have not dealt with them personally so I cannot offer first hand experience.

good idea, might as well try with SN's and seeing how it goes, based of that will tell me how hard it will be to get another SSD to resell
