I've searched for a way to get a new crucial SSD, I have a few serial numbers to try with they have a 3 yr warranty for the SSD's.

I just need help with how to perform SE without sending back original SSD and a good excuse (how to talk/explain about dead SSD and solutions not working) I don't know much about computers but i believe if i know how to talk like i know SSD's than i can be successful with getting a replacement.

also, is it advised to use drop or is my own addy fine if i succeed?

Use a drop, it’s always safer. In terms of the method, you could say you are self isolating due to Corona.

My leasing office would accept a package but not sure they would leave it with leasing office unless i suggested them to leave it in office on instructions

You could try the leasing office but would they not also ask for ID?

Find out whether the delivery company delivers the packages at your apartment complex door to door or if they automatically leave them with the leasing office by watching for a couple of days. If they deliver them door to door manually, the carrier is going to ask the leasing office why there is a delivery to an apartment number that doesn't exist, which means you're going to stick out like a sore thumb in the clerks mind if an investigation ever comes back to them.

If It's light enough to not register a weight on consignment, simply box them when they request the return.

You could try the leasing office but would they not also ask for ID?

i just talked to them and they said if my name is on it they would let me know, which defeats the purpose but maybe first name spelled differently and use middle name but still very close to full name so its almost not different

theres always a different amazon delivery guy that gets lost in our apts with each delivery door to door and they take pics, the other couriers i havent noticed the same guy but dont pay attention that closely before. I know our mail man is different everyday bc i talked to one before and no body wants to take over our route bc we in the ghetto. Im glad you mentioned that they will be suspicious though if there is no apt number and they end up dropping off at office but if im going to FTID something big i shouldnt worry too much about investigation right? For small shit that would get sent in my mailbox instead of my door im not sure how to approach that. right now the mail person has been putting many previous names in my box of people who used to live there at least 3-4 different names weekly. I do have a apt across from me which they use for showings only so i could use this for shit being delivered at door and run out and grab it when nobodys looking.
