Is Missing Item Appropriate? #1
I've just received my new 1TB SSD from Amazon and wonder if "Nothing was in the box" would be an appropriate claim.

The carrier was Amazon and the recorded weight of the box is .4lbs, or about 181g.

I'm also curious if it would be a bad idea to attempt another SE so soon since my last was about 2 weeks ago on the same Amazon account (with several legit and high dollar orders). The SSD cost $189.99 + tax

You've confused the "DNA (Did Not Arrive)" with the "missing Item Method".

The missing Item method, Is always based on the "Item" (net) weight and not the box/package (gross) weight.

Now much does the SSD weigh?

The SSD itself weighs 1.92 ounces, or 55 grams, so I could probably just say the box came but the SSD itself just wasn't in the packaging.

It's around the same weight as AirPods, which have a high success rate with the missing Item method.

I believe at 189.99$ you will likely go through the automated bot chat system. There you will be faced with a few options you can choose to “say”. I believe one is that the item wasn’t in the box. Form then it’s likely the bot will simply offer you replacement or refund. Let us know how it went.

The missing item method worked perfectly for me here. It was a successful SE

Their bot system put me through to an online chat agent, but after speaking to the agent for roughly 10 minutes they offered to replace or refund the item.

Which are the limits for the EB and DNA methods in € or $...

I was very confident of Its success, hence the reason I suggested the method. Well done.

As a matter of Interest, what was discussed with the agent/rep?
