So you think I should do the ftid nearby and just PS the receipt?
Unless I try FTID the AirPods back to the John Lewis with empty box to test. If it works, do the iPhone. If it don’t, then return the iPhone instore properly for my money back?

The thing Is, carriers operate on a scanning system (hence tracking) and the package will be delivered to Its Intended destination.
Very rarely do they neglect a scan, and deliver solely based on what's written on the package.

...unless I just photoshop that too

You mean have the tracking showing to another delivery point?

Correct.

You can certainly try this.
AirPods do have a very high success rate, namely because they're extremely light and will barely register a weight on consignment.

I would try put another address on but like you said it’s all to do with barcodes, so it’ll end up at John Lewis anyway. Might be a bit suspicious if the address was meant to be elsewhere.
Might be easier to just try return the AirPods and then doing iPhone if successful. I know returns are through prepaid Royal Mail label which is easy as hell to ftid

Good move.
The objective Is for them to dispose of the package/envelope when received, therefore they have no record of It ever arriving.

I wouldn't change the address.
You can easily box the airpods. You don't even need to manipulate the tracking label.
For iPhone, you should probably FTID.
Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.

How do you mean by boxing the AirPods? Surely they would have to be ftid too if I want to keep the item but get a refund?

I ended up just empty envelope FTID for the iPhone and I’ll see what happens. Hopefully it works lol

As in just sending back an empty box.
To clarify, you stuck the tracking label on an envelope for paper mail folded in half/thirds, or a bigger envelope that'll fit paper flat?

Yeah correct. Just put the edited shipping label onto a plain white envelope and sent it. Reckon it would work?

Can't really say. Can only hope for the best. I'm honestly leaning a bit towards no because I've never heard of an envelope (an empty one nonetheless) with a tracking label. Maybe I'm just uninformed though. Normally envelopes are sent with a stamp. Keep us updated, I'm curious if it works.

I normally just send my Nike FTID and Amazon FTID with empty Envelopes and an edited prepaid tracking label - worked for them so thought maybe could work for John Lewis
