SE'ing PC Parts UK #1
Hey,

Im trying to look into seing some pc parts for a new build, I need to upgrade my current PC however to do so I need to invest in multiple parts even though some dont need upgrading.

I have the parts chosen and this is what im ordering:
New CPU
New Motherboard
New RAM
New HDD
New Graphics Card
New Case

Originally my plan was to order it all from amazon, total being £1500 and return the motherboard and cpu with the parts from my current build (look exactly the same) and pay for the rest, saving about £600 but amazon keep closing my accounts ( i have refunded them a fair amount ).

What stores in the UK are good for refunding any of the above, Mainly the Graphics card, motherboard and processor.

Thanks

Why might that be?

Change every Identifiable detail, Inclusive of payment system, and navigate via a VPN on a different device.

New address everything, had ordered a switch, and a ps4 along with other items completely legit too, closed my account after placing the order for over £1000 on the pc parts within minuites.

Going to use another account with different name address card ect and try again I guess but at the moment the £1000+ is pending off my debit card, need to wait 2-3 days for it ot be given back. Seems the easiest way to refund it for me, doing individual stores seems to take a lot longer and be a lot of hassle. Just annoying with the amazon system

Do this and exclude every minute/Identifiable detail from the previous account, and navigate using a VPN on a different device that was never personally used by you.

I can assure you that your account will remain active.

lmao, you may as well say you're just SE'ing a whole new computer - not upgrading a computer.
I was in a similar boat - to upgrade I needed a new mobo -> new cpu/ram. Figured I might as well get a new computer.
I decided to just try to go for a refund from a company that builds computers for you. I still haven't received the product, so can't update on how that's going though.

Personally, saying two or three items were incorrect seems a little suspicious to me. I would opt for splitting the order among several sites.

You should get a VCC. privacy.com is one of many that can provide one.

I had good luck with wrong item received from Curry's. Scan has CCTV when they package your stuff. Overclockers also take stuff a bit personally.

Also I've read that privacy.com isn't available in UK but idk

Good input. Smile
You can also find what stores refunders like to hit in their store lists. That'll tell you for sure what companies can be done.

@Filament Thanks for the input, ye i was just going to return based on the fact they were no longer needed, preferably using a family members aging account, the 3 items, replace with old parts from my current build. Obviously its basically a new computer, just keeping my power supply, water cooler, led fans, ssd and hdd really. Need to upgrade gpu and to do that, need new motherboard which forces new cpu because of the spec.

I want to hit multiple stores but seems a ballache to find and search for them, will have a look though, thank you

If your cards have been previously used on Amazon, they can link the accounts.

As said, change every Identifiable detail.
