Logitech G Pro X Keyboard SE Success (Only using SN) 01-31-2020, 03:27 AM
#1
After talking to the customer support rep for about a week, I was successful in getting a keyboard off of them.
I have never seen anyone SE the G PRO X Keyboard, so I just wanted to share the story. The keyboard is a Logitech website exclusive, so it is difficult to get a POP.
This is my first successful SE, it went pretty well for me, and I pulled it off with only a serial number.
I started off my creating an email that sounded like an old person. I made the email with the name of a generic old lady, I did this so I could sound like I don't know much about tech.
I used Logitech's Contact US page, and used the support.logi.com website to do the SE. A lot of the people say it is quicker by the phone, but I like using email support more, even if it takes about a week.
I started my case with talking about how the "flashy colorful lights" on the keyboard don't work when I plug the thing in, and how my special needs son was really excited, and stuff like that.
As normal, they sent me the list of what to do to try to fix, I replied that I tried these steps as normal.
The agent asked to clarify the issue, which I answered very broadly like an old person would.
The agent finally asked me to send my information, which I did . For the proof of purchase, I told her I would try to get it from the "giftgiver" if necessary. I got the serial off an unboxing video, all the other info is straightforward, like address, postal code, etc.
She sent an email basically saying I have to send the old keyboard back once I get the new one.
And another with the prepaid shipping label.
Then an automated message saying my package is sent.
I wanted to share this story for the two or three people that would read it. Thanks for reading the whole story.
(EDIT):
Somehow, I got lucky on this SE, and succeeded with the bar minimum. I do not have to use the BOX method on them, as they are asking me to send back the defective product once I receive the replacement. Somehow the rep approved my replacement, although she asked for a proof of purchase, I made up a story on how the item was a gift, and how I would ask the purchaser for the receipt if it was necessary. She also did not ask for any photos or videos, I got lucky on this one.
Thanks for all of the comments, I did not expect my first post to do this well.
