How long does Flannels take? #1
Thinking of doing Flannels at some point soon. Will a £650 order of two items be suspicious if i SE one of the items?

It depends on a number of factors, but generally It's fine.

* What's the cost of the Item you wish to SE?
* What Is the Item, Inclusive of It's weight?
* How old Is your account?
* Have you made any legit purchases?
* What method do you plan on using?
* When was the last SE performed on the account?

Cost of the item is £550 and it's a jacket. I haven't ordered or made an account with them before.

Although It's best to have a matured account with at least one legit purchase, It doesn't mean you cannot SE on a fresh account.

Do remember that as far as the company Is concerned, the SE Is a legit claim. If you legitimately submitted a claim (for example) on a package that didn't arrive, you'd have very little Issues In obtaining a replacement/refund. An SE Is no different.

What method are you planning to use?

I see what you're saying there. I am planning to use the partial method. What other item is best to ship with a jacket?

The other Item Is Irrelevant.

If the jacket Is rather heavy and registers a significant weight, they'll simply deduct It off the total weight of the consignment. As such, If there's no variance and the "dispatched" weight matches the "delivery" weight, then the jacket Is deemed as received hence the SE will fail.

When using the partial method, always take the Item's weight Into consideration. Some companies don't bother checking but If they do, your SE will not succeed.

What about through PayPal? Will that make a difference? I have had this particular PayPal account for years and have never opened a case.

Any company can be SEd, but It's of the utmost Importance to exhaust all avenues and leave nothing to chance. Allow me to briefly elaborate as follows.

Generally speaking, there are two types of social engineers- those with an exceptional degree of skill set as though they're gifted In the art of human manipulation, and others who simply seek assistance and advice from advanced SE'rs who've been there and done that. But what makes a good social engineer? What are the key attributes that separates them from the rest? How do they get the job done In an efficient, methodical and effective manner?

Off the top of my head (not respectively), here's a few key attributes. For the purpose of this post, I'll reference a male figure.

* Researches His Target Prior To The SE
* Identifies & Evaluates Information
* Formulates/Prepares His Attack
* Executes His Attack Accordingly
* Has A Very High Level Of Confidence
* Assumes An Authoritative Figure
* Instantly Notices Human Vulnerabilities
* Perseveres With His Objective
* Is Well Prepared For The Unexpected
* Finishes The SE On A Good Note
* Plans Subsequent SEs With Good Timing
* Sets His Limit And Sticks To It
* Adapts To The Environment Of Whom He's SEing
* Keeps Critical SEing Information To Himself
* Selects The Method & Gateway He's Comfortable With
* Does Not Complicate The Social Engineering Attack

Those who read this, I suggest taking everything under advisement. As I've mentioned a few weeks prior, I'll document and post a guide covering all the aforementioned points In great detail.
