First SE help #1
So I ordered a gopro hero 8 from eglobal. Item has arrived and I signed for on delivery.

This is the specification of the item,

The dimensions of the camera are 62 mm x 32 mm x 45 mm. With a weight of 117g.

The total package weight of the camera in Its box is 25.4cm x 12.7cm x 12.7cm With a weight of 0.57kg.

The account is a few weeks old and this is the only purchase done on it.

Which method of SE do you suggest I go with?

You need to make a decision fast- any further delay, will raise suspicion as to why you didn't act on It on receipt of goods.

Quote:With a weight of 117g
This Is borderline for the missing Item method.

Alternatively, the wrong Item received method (which Is standard practice with almost any Item), will work.

Thank you. It arrived yesterday so I will do it today.

Regarding wrong item received method could you give me an example of something that I could say? And surely they will ask me to return the 'wrong item'?

Thanks

In terms of the wrong Item, purchase a "stock" Item that weighs roughly the same as the SE Item, and Is significantly cheaper. Be sure to do It on a completely different account.

When they request the return, you'll send the wrong Item. They'll scan It, and see It's part of their Inventory, hence assume they've mistakenly sent that. A replacement/refund for the ordered Item will be Issued thereafter.

Ah ok thanks I never seemed to understand that method but now it makes sense.

Is it ok if I order that item to the same address from the different account?

That would be fine. I doubt they'll cross check. I'm not familiar with the company though.

Since they sell GoPros, I assume you could get something else they sell from Amazon and return that instead. With prime, you'd get that item ASAP too so win/win.

Preferably every detail should be changed.

That said, as far as you're concerned, you have multiple people living at your premises with their very own account so based on this, the same address should be fine.
