UPDATE: So I called them up 2 days ago, and I explained that I had thrown it away so it is not possible to return it. He said he has to have a senior manager to approve the refund and told me to wait till tomorrow for a response and resolution. Yesterday, afternoon still no response. I called up again and said that I was told I'd get a refund. I already sent photos previously of the perfume which was made to look like it was leaking, and she said she will process the refund. I got the confirmation that it'll be processed, so it's now just a matter of waiting.

Yes i owned an already empty bottle of it, so i figured id just send that back if they did request it. to my surprise, they said it "wouldn't make sense to ship an empty bottle"

I don't know about the UK but in France, sephora works, I said the bottle was broken, I did that for my mother, and I made it clear that I had to throw it away urgently.

Didn't they ask for pictures insistantly ? I'm wondering about SEing Sephora aswell, yet, I'm afraid that they will ask to return the "broken" bottle.
