How to win any Paypal dispute as the buyer #1
I've just been fucked on PayPal via an eBay sale. A buyer is claiming I sent them the wrong item and eBay sided with them today so I'm negative -420. I had to know how the fuck this happened because I submitted screenshots and documentation of the item in question. It turns out because he provided documentation to the government, it automatically means it's legit. I was confused, so I asked if he went to his government specifically. I realized after he used a forwarding service for his home country. Apparently no, he just went to https://www.ic3.gov/ and made a claim. That was enough for eBay to say fuck you to me and side with him. Subttibg something to a government website is the end all, and because you agree you're telling the truth, that's all it takes.
Interestingly, it is US based, and neither of us lives in the fucking United States of America! I'm so fucking upset atm. But anyway, if you ever want to be a douchebag, you can pull this on someone or submit a real claim like it's meant to be.

Generally with our forum, I figured this went without saying. However, recent discussion has led me to believe otherwise. People are encouraged to read and follow our rules, especially those regarding illegal content. You have been warned - @Oni

Damn thats some bullshit, but sounds like something Ebay/Paypal would do. Shit companies

Useful tip, but the ordeal you had to go through to find it was shitty. Weird that they accepted a US agency though when neither of you lived there, but I guess the support rep isn't really gonna question "government documentation".

I find it pretty weird too but this could be very useful. Could this be a way to get refunds and SE's done straight away?

Potentially if you were asked for a police report this could be used as a last resort to save your SE. It would have to be tested though for me to confirm.

You can bypass Police reports on Amazon by saying the police in your area said they won't deal with such a petty case...

That's if it's really a petty case though. They'll shoot you down if it's something valuable that they know the police would make a report on.

What value would you say qualifies as a "petty case"?
