Need Police Report

Can anyone help me create a NYC police report? Electronics company wants me to submit a police report in order to proceed but I used a partial method stating that they never delivered the item so the precinct told me it's not their responsibility. Rather it's the merchant's responsibility and a civil matter instead of a criminal matter.

Any thoughts?

First big thing. Creating a police report is illegal as far as I know. Also some more information could be helpful

1: What was the product?
2: What site was the product from?
3: How much was the product?

I definitely have tried to file a police report, but the precinct wouldn't allow me to. They told me it's not a criminal matter but a civil one since it didn't qualify for a police report. Anyways, messaged and thanks Smile

Do not falsify a police report. Period.

It's simply required as part of company protocol to move forward with your claim.

I would NEVER make a false police report if I were you. Should law enforcement see that report at some point it would guarantee that they investigate the case and likely go after you.

Apprehension and conviction would be the most probable outcome.

You don't want to risk fraudulent charges, just for the sake of an SE.
