Amazon Camera Refund #1
I ordered a £400 camera on amazon and I plan to refund it. However reading SE forums I have found an easier way to refund for me
May be to say The battery has exploded . However if they ask for a picture , I cant find any pictures of exploded batteries so should i destroy it myself?
I was going to use the DNA method which I have used previous times with high value items, and if they ask for police report may adhere. However I am intrigued on the exploded battery SE?

DNA is definitely easier, but if you want to be adventurous you could try the other method. Just bear in mind that it will be a lot harder than DNA

What batteries does the camera use? Does it have its own contained battery pack? or do it use multiple single cell batteries?

Used DNA was very simple as had aged account , only took about 2 minutes.

More often than not amazon will not require you to send back items with lithium batteries (assuming your camera uses lithium batteries), However this is not set in stone and you should either use wrong item received, or do a simple DNA. But if you think you've done too many DNA's then wrong item received will be much better for you.

Glad to hear it worked out. Generally when doing a refund DNA should be your go-to (as long as you have a legit enough looking account that doesn't have a dozen refunds on it) and save other methods for when you're doing an SE on an item you've never ordered.
