Lithium-ion batteries are known to catch fire, so tell them that your laptop did exactly that (caught fire) and you Immediately threw It out. Also say that the table on which It was sitting on, was damaged and ask whether they'll compensate you for that. Mentioning damage to the table, gives you the upper hand over their Incapacity to provide you with a safe and functional Item.

I will try to contact MSI soon and try this method. I will keep this post updated.

For some reason, I didn't receive this notification.

Please do keep us updated as developments come to hand.
I got this mail from MSI.

To sort things out, you can register the device for a repair at https://cs.msi.com
Do you no longer have the device? Then unfortunately we cannot do anything for you.

I have an MSI GE 72 Apache Pro, If you contact them with your model number and receipt from where you purchased it. Instead of throwing it away, tell them its a hazard and its damaging whatever. It comes with a warranty and if its something that's a big issue I think they will take care of it.
