Hello ladies and gentlemen. I recently just figured out that Amazon Prime now is even easier to SE than regular Amazon. So the basic methods you'd normally use also apply for prime now. I will describe the past two SE's I have done with prime now and the methods I used.

Just for clarification , I am referring to their two hour delivery service that they offer. What items they stock depend entirely on where you live. You also need prime to do this.

My first SE from Amazon prime now was a Ryzen 7 2700x. It arrived in 3-4 hours. An hour later I phoned their support and told them that I received the wrong item. The wrong item I told them that I had received was a box of broken glass cups. Instantaneously I was offered a refund on basis of wrong item received and I did not have to send anything back.

My second SE was a Xbox One Elite Controller. For this one I switched it up and also ordered amazon brand batteries along with it. It came in , phoned support and told them that the controller was missing from the package.  I was offered a refund instantly.

From what I've seen , prime now independently contracts couriers so perhaps that is the reason they are inclined to refund instead of replace. Since there is no UPS/USPS/Fedex , any mistakes made in the order are pinned on Amazon. I say this because both times I have done this , there was no indication of the representative looking to conduct an investigation or contact the courier and ask for their take on the matter. I probably spent a combined 4 minutes talking to Amazon for both orders. It also helps that each time you do SE to dress differently. Don't wear the same outfit when receiving the package, try wearing shades to help reduce your profile , change up your hair a little bit to make you harder to recognize etc.

As always , time the SE and make sure not to use the same information to keep them guessing.

As a matter of Interest with the following, did the wrong Item match the weight of the CPU, or did they simply take your word for It without checking?

They simply offered me a refund right then and there. I did not have to provide any details after saying it was just broken glass. If it helps , I've phoned in closer to midnight both times. I'd imagine at this point the representative is just looking to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Good work to call very late In the evening. Obviously you Identified their timezone. This Is probably the easiest SE I've come across.

It's also good practice to call companies (who operate during business days/hours) toward close of business on a Friday. They're tired, not as alert and are counting the minutes for their finishing time to arrive.

If so, SEing by using different details/accounts, significantly reduces your claim being declined due to too many refunds/replacements on the account.
