Told them I received amazon basics batteries instead of the graphicscard , representative provided me with a return label and confirmed that it will be noted down that I received batteries so the returns team will know to avoid any future hi jinks. All that is left is to send the batteries back and receive the refund. I have a email confirming this as well.

RTX 2080Ti - $1400 after tax. Looks like I am home free but I will update you guys when the refund goes through. Stay tuned.

Brilliant.

When executed accordingly, this clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the wrong Item received method.

Wouldn't the weight of batteries and a 2080ti be wrong?

I learned long ago to always open and check my orders right away as I've had wrong stuff show up in a package.

Last Christmas holiday season ordered multiple items and when the box arrived on ring camera the bottom flap was open and a scan tool and socket extension set was missing. Informed the Rep that I had it on ring and would supply the video if they need and they informed me it wasn't a issue and they wouldn't need it. Sent a replacement order with the proper parts. Missing ones never arrived. Some lucky fed ex driver got some free tools I imagine due to lack of tape adherence in cold weather which I've witnessed more this winter as well even this past week.

To answer both of your questions , the batteries come in a single pack that weigh almost as much as the 2080ti in its box. I made sure it was amazon basics branded batteries to reinforce my claim that they simply made a warehouse mistake.

For the second question , the batteries were ordered on a different account with completely different details using a VCC.

Adding a final update , just received the confirmation today that the return was received and that the refund would be processed in 2-3 business days after a week of waiting. I know in my previous post I did not make that very clear.

So you went with the weight of the GPU? and not the shipping weight? What was the weight for the batteries?

Went with the weight of the gpu in its box. The batteries were within a few ounces at best.

As mentioned countless times, It's the "Item weight" that's relative to every SE.

The shipping weight Is the Item AND the packaging. You're SEing the Item, not the packaging.

You may get away with 100g, but 200 Is pushing It.

Of course, that's provided It's cross-checked against the carrier's records.
