I was able to do an empty box SE for one of the three items in the box. But now I am getting greedy and would like to manage to get a second item from that same box by possibly either A) return a cheaper replicate item or B) Maybe try and claim that the second item was never received, though this would go against what I originally said when I SE'd the first item via empty box. so probably not smart, as the account is young and the first SE was not exactly smooth.

My best bet, I think, is to go with A) and try to return the second item, but with just a cheaper replicate item. Not broken, but a much cheaper one. What are the precautions here? How heavily does Amazon returns scrutinize the returns coming back through? I'm not going to put bricks in there, and the weights are similar, but the one I will be returning is around .4 of a pound lighter, so about a half a pound lighter. The issue, of course, is that my account is probably already looking suspicious and I imagine they may take an extra closer look at my returned item, but the cheaper replicate item is nearly identical, with no outward signs that would give it away--no serial number, nothing like that. I think it is pretty safe plan, but I know you guys and gals have much more knowledge than I do about the Amazon returns system.

Weight of the item is somewhere around 4-5 pounds, more of a household item (not a computer, phone, tablet, gaming chip, etc).
