Goods are weighed on consignment, so what happens If the Item weighs (example) 2Kg?

Or course the weight matters.

If an Investigation Is opened with the carrier and It's confirmed you've received the package weighing at 2Kg, then obviously the Item was enclosed, hence your claim that the Item was missing "will" fail.

This could possibly work with items worth less than 10$ but don't see this working very often or being a reliable method.

Lightweight Items are fine. You can also box the company without Issues.

But to make a general statement as per below, Is completely Inaccurate.

For Items that register a significant weight on consignment, the weight Itself must be taken Into account In your method.
