Avoiding courier checking package #1
I've a courier arriving in the coming days to pick up a 'phone'. According to the label, they want me to keep the package unsealed so he can check it before signing off on it. Obviously I won't be doing this. Does anyone have experience with companies saying they'll check before collecting? If so, have the drivers always checked? I know it depends on the driver but as a general guide. Any advice on how to manipulate it? I'm thinking having my bicycle there with me and being very rushed and saying I'm late for work or something.

You should've opted for the wrong Item received method. You won't have an Issue with the carrier checking the wrong Item being placed.

In this case, plead Ignorance by sealing the label, and reassure him the Item Is enclosed. Start a friendly conversation, talk about "his" Interests and so forth- with the Intention to get him on your side, hence take your word for It.
