Amazon SE-ing Questions #1
Hello everyone. A few months ago i bought a motherboard from amazon(sold and fulfilled). It broke because of my misuse. Im thinking of sending it back saying it doesnt work but instead i would buy the same exact motherboard and replace the old one by puting it into new motherboards box( so the serial numbers would match). Can this strat work? Plus i have some additional questions:

1) Does amazon check serial numbers of items(say electronics) upon arrival?
2) Does amazon check if the product they recieve(again say electronics) work or not?

Thanks to everone who took their time reding this.

I thought the same thing, he said it was his fault, maybe the warranty doesn't cover that?

Just make a fuss. I don't really care to scam Amazon, but I guess if we're taking about SE'ing, this is one thing I do. Whatever the item is suppose to do, make it clear it did NOT do it and request to talk to a manager or supervisor to make an exception. Normally they'll just tell their colleagues to allow it since it's not doing what it's been advertised to do. I've yet to see a rep actually transfer me to higher management given a good argument for why I need it returned regardless of timeline. Good luck!

Generally with our forum, I figured this went without saying. However, recent discussion has led me to believe otherwise. People are encouraged to read and follow our rules, especially those regarding illegal content. You have been warned - @Oni

Just buy another motherboard from your country and return it stating its damaged? Why pay the import fees and such?

That should work. I've tried it with Beats. I bought new beats and, used/damaged beats. I put the damaged beats in the box of the news and returned them. Got a refund around a week later.

Why did it take a week? Seems like usually takes a few days if it's a small purchase, like beats. Shipping to the warehouse?
