It's a tough one.
As per my thoughts on the last fight, It could go either way. Both fighters now know each other's style of fighting to some degree, so they can prepare themselves based on the previous bout.

McGregor is going to need to improve his ground game. It's not a question of whether Khabib will grapple him, but when. McGregor also has a few inches of extra reach on Khabib, which he didn't utilize.

I would say that they may allow Diaz to fight khabib first. His opponent has pulled out on medical grounds and he made it clear in a recent interview the only person he wants to fight is Khabib, I feel that fight will be interesting.

Because of how close the two fighters are skill wise it would be a good fight to watch again. There are high chances that the end result will be flipped this time

Given they now know how one another fight, the outcome could be different as you said, would be interesting to watch again.

"We were planning for Khabib to fight Ferguson in April or May and retire from sports after that", why wouldn't they take the fight with McGregor, secure the $15m then retire?

From what Dana says, it doesn't sound like he's leaving UFC.
