Anyone know how to refund amazon college textbooks? #1
So i need a textbook for one of my college classes and I'm debating whether i should rent the book or buy the book and refund it.

But then that leaves the question how do I refund a textbook without having to send it back? If I fail the refund then that's 130$ out of my account.

I was thinking of using the it didn't arrive method. Thoughts?

Both the DNA and empty box methods are appropriate.

If the book Is very light weight, you can probably get away with boxing them without using dry Ice and the like.

Not if I have to go pick it up at the post office in person. Then I won't be able to say It didn't arrive because I'd have to sign for it.

Who's to say It was "you" who signed for It?

After It's been picked up, go to the post office and request to pick It up and then express your disappointment when they tell you It's not there. Human error Is Inevitable, hence administrative errors and/or lack of cross-checking Identifiable Information happen all the time.

Thing is that whoever picks it up has to show some form of ID along with the pink slip on it.

Yes I know, that's how It works In most localities. But It doesn't mean you're the one who picked It up with your ID.

Argue the fact that you've attended the post office to collect the package, and was told It was already picked up. Where I reside, they do not take copies of your ID, they simply request to see It and then hand over the package. If that's the case with yourself, they have no evidence nor any grounds to prove otherwise.

I see where you're going with this. What if they say they're gonna do an investigation? Thanks, in advance.
Would it be better to buy the book brand new or rent it and refund it?

An Investigation Is part of their procedure and a lot do result In a successful outcome. However, there's still an element of failure.

I believe It'll be a lot easier to box them.

I've ordered the book. I'm going to wait a day after I get it and call and use the DNA method. It should work, as it's sold and fulfilled by amazon.

As opposed to a third-party seller fulfilling the order but distributed by Amazon (whereby by Amazon will send the funds to the third-party seller), I certainly agree It's best when It's both sold and fulfilled by Amazon alone.

Please advise with It's progression.
