This was almost 5 months ago.

I'd say It's very safe to assume It's come to a close. This Is where the vulnerability Is In their reply:

Supposedly send It with another carrier, and advise that you've completely overlooked their request for the "tracking number". As such, they (obviously) will not receive the Item, It's lost In transit and there's no grounds to track the consignment.
