I was wondering if there's a way to get a free xbox, without purchasing one from example amazon, and then refunding it.
Like can you just get a serial number or something from ebay, then ask support?

I remember the method back in 2014 for SEing Xbox. I think people ripped them off and they are more secure now.
I personally SEed like 5-6 Xbox One's.
I think there is no harm in trying but personally I woldn't go through that hassle for $250.
Its easy to order and refund.

If I was you I would order it directly from Microsoft using PayPal and open a dispute.
