P&G is the corporation Procter and Gamble. They are one of the largest home and consumer product manufacturer/distributors in the US and the world.
Instead of replacing items directly, they will often send out a prepaid VISA card in anywhere between $20 - $120. Anything above that they will likely just replace the product.
Honestly as for the process itself, find a product that isn't took expensive (too much its more work and usually results in replacement and not the card.) Then you will call or email them and say you have a problem. They will then (if all goes well) tell you that they're issuing you a refund in the form of a prepaid visa giftcard. It will arrive in a bit (usually a week or two) and it can be used anywhere VISA can. Its probably one of the easiest "SE" methods there are.
You should try doing something more interesting and less getting free stuff. Even irregardless, do more than P&G, its pretty looked down upon on other forums and is pretty minimally brought up here.
