I've actually done BenQ but it was almost three years ago. I wrote up a method and don't have it anymore. Its definitely changed because when doing it for a friend they wanted me to send it back, no amount of sending a fake box worked. So its worked easily with no return in the past and ended completely in a failure the second. So give it a shot but if they start refusing just give in in my opinion.

If you have any notes/info on BenQ that may still apply, I'd love to see it! I'm currently attempting to SE a discontinued model in hopes that they will just send a similar model without asking for a return.
