Im thinking of trying my luck in refunding the evga 1080ti by shipping them an empty box with my old gpu inside how high are my chances of succeeding?

I'd imagine they have camera footage of what they sent you so they'll probably be like wtf... but let us know how it goes lol!

How long ago did it arrive?
What is shipping weight Vs returning object?
What was excuse out were going to use for returning?
What's account history look like (% of refunds and how many)?
There are alot of variables a professional SE guy like you must include on final decision
Again if it works please share your 1337 SE'ing skills with me

Sorry for getting your hopes up lol. Im also a beginner, but i was just trying to see if i could pull this off since i saw some posts on r/pcmr with amazon shipping gpu boxes with different gpus inside. i just thought its actually possible to se a free 1080ti and im asking for tips here. no way am i a pro at this, im currently still considering about ordering the gpu

Ive only ordered a kindle and some kindle covers on there a few years back
Im probably gonna use a electronic balance to get the item back to its original weight, just wondering if the amazon staff check the returned item's contents
My excuse would probably be ive made the wrong order or something along those lines

ITS POSSIBLE and easy af.
I refunded several things on my main account in 3-4 months. First I refunded a ASUS ROG for 1000$, than an S7 Edge and 3 Iphone 6s 64GB without any problems.
For a few items I used E-Mail, but the most time I used Live-Chat. Also I used every time the same method with some little changes. You should act seriously and credible and never change your story.

I'd just say you ordered the 1080ti and whatever one you're planning to ship back is what they accidentally sent you. If it was the same brand, it would look like an honest mistake of their end. Make sure you call them and get your story straight before you attempt. I'd also have an aged account with some orders before attempting.
