Ok, so the method is very simple:

Open a chat now window on the product you want and start:

Ok now you first want to start off the chat by saying “Hi”

Then quickly type in something like this “I am the chief marketing director for [COMPANY Ltd. ]”

Make sure the company you make up has something to do with the item you want for example if I want some headphones I’d say I am a music company. And also make sure you use a professional company name.

Ok now the person will reply with something along the lines of “Hi I am John and my company is .....”

You now want to ask him about the item you want so if you want to ask any question now would be the time to do so.

After this you want to say something like this “Ok, I’m seriously interested in the product you are selling I was wandering what the PPU would be for 2500 Units.”

For those of you who don’t know what PPU is it then it is Price Per Unit, make sure you use this because it shows the seller you have business knowledge and are serious about what you are doing.

Now the seller will reply with a price for each unit, you will now want to make something like this up “Oh, the price is higher than the other seller I was speaking to but I’m not so fussed about the price I’m more bothered about the quality of the item, the other seller has decided to send me a free sample of his headphones for a quality test is there by any chance you can do the same?”

ATENTION: YOU NEED TO PAY THE SHIPMENT OF THE PRODUCT!!!! BUT THE PRODUCT IS FREE FOR YOU!!

Yeah...but most of the shit on alibaba is shipped from China/some over seas place. So it's usually over $20 for shipping.

Its usually not that much for what it is, you would pay that for tracked shipping and everything, and you usually get a higher tier shipping then trash standard freight. Also, you realize it said they will mostly charge shipping on the OP right?

You can look on the company's profile for the product and see if they offer a free sample/free shipping for said sample.

I've done business with people on Alibaba for a while, have you seen someone who has free shipping for the sample, I've never seen it.
