Wow. God I love Human Manipulation Tongue
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

In that case you should check NLP patterns [including embedded commands ] and some covert hypnosis.

I'd be careful with NLP. Even though I used to be very interested in it, I've grown to realize, that generally the idea of NLP isn't really working. It is good to learn about it, probably research embedded commands, pattern interruptions etc. but don't rely on it.

You're actually very right. I've found from my personal experience that NLP often only does magic with highly suggestible characters.
And also NLP alone wouldn't do much , unless you mix different strategies together.

That is what I suspect, there are a few people on which it works. However the real question (and subject of research) is, if the people were manipulated due to NLP, or if their changed behaviour had different causes. For example, if you would be a leader of some very dedicated group and you tested embedded commands on them. And it worked. Did it work because of the embedded command or did it work simply because they trust in you and would do anything you say to them?
Currently (as far as I know) there is no strong evidence of NLP working as it is. You may feel it "working" for you (when reading some tutorials), but that simply may be you wishing it worked.

The best thing is to try out different techniques and combine them. Create your own way of doing this kind of stuff that works with your personality, you have people with confidence and authority so strong, that they can manipulate by just "planting command" and you have people who rather trick people and take a more of a indirect approach.

You're right. But there are some acts by Derren Brown which just
would say otherwise. However , no one is sure whether his shows are choreographed.
