Its the admin password for the account. So pretty much the account password. As mentioned if not i apologize. Ive extracted sam and system files and am usibg cain right now. Use ophcrack and it didnt gind any responses from xp special and vista special. Dictionary cracking now. But those will take a while

You're thread title suggests that you forgot your Laptop Boot Security Password, but is that what you are refering?

Well. All suspicion aside. I dont need the files lol and pretty much was looking for password but am now going to jyst use dban and wipe the sdd. Im not worryin about data. But cant find proper way of wiping and preparing it for new OS. anysuggestion other than dban. I cant find wipe options in bios
