If you dont mind, why doesn't it work? Is there a way to detect that dry ice was used? What methods work on Amazon right now?

The only method I know is simply putting dry ice of equivalent weight in the return box of the item. Would this work?

It doesn't work cause Amazon checks returned items especially if it's GPU. Amazon changed policies and how their return works. So it the things that worked in 2018,2020 doesn't work now.

Doing dry ice method, FTID, LIT or etc will lock your account and get you OFM.
I don't believe in what I say. Everything is just fictional and made for a good laugh.

I don't answer PM.

No it won't. There's a few other ideas been floated around especially regarding GPUs, do a search.

Tbh I would avoid Amazon for now without an aged account, too much trouble for little reward.

Why wouldn't it work? They just assume it's my fault the box arrived empty at the warehouse?

companies don't have to to refund you willingly when they don't receive what you returned, they do so to maintain customer relation or it's easier to write off. They were hit so much, they don't care anymore. If they don't receive the item they will decline the refund request.

dna/eb or serial method for certain items still works if your account is in good standing.

Ask yourself what story are you trying to tell with the dry ice.

Then ask yourself what evidence do you have to support this story.

Best case scenario: let's say you can prove that you sent a package with x weight, which arrived empty at the other end. Most carriers don't weigh return packages, but let's say they do. Amazon can just say "we didn't receive the item and will not refund you" because that's exactly what happened. They don't give a fuck about shipping weights etc. (Unless your account is in great standing, and then they'll just refund you out of courtesy.)

In the end you have to either fight with the carrier, trying to prove that the weight disappeared during delivery or make a chargeback request with your credit card company. Your credit card company might be more inclined to listen to your story about shipping the correct weight. But that's a long process that can't be used often, and Amazon can still rebill you later.

DNA/EB is much easier and quicker. But still requires an aged account. Therefore I just avoid Amazon, too much hassle.
