Sign Affidavit w/ Adorama or ignore and let my credit card handle it 03-04-2024, 04:19 PM

So I’m close to SE’ing Adorama. I know when mothered used to be here he would somewhat be against signing an affidavit of possible.
The thing is my credit card already approved the charge back and I have to wait 2 weeks before it’s completely settled.
Should I sign the affidavit and just go through the process? It’s just an email that I’m printing out signing then sending back.
Orr do I just ignore it and let my credit card deal with it ?

I always see people say just sign the affidavit. It is internal doc so it wont bite you. When you did DNA, did they have to contact courier? or were you contacted by the courier at all?

Can you show the affidavit? Its content? It might just be an internal document or non-legally binding.

I would like to hear a (local) lawyer's opinion on how legal these "affidavits" are.
But I can tell you that a signature is generally considered legally binding when:
-The signature is distinctly yours
-The signature is consistent across documents
-Others must be able to verify it's really your signature
-You understand what you're signing and choose to sign it
This is why forcing someone to sign a contract isn't binding.
In short, just scribble any nonsense on the affidavit and it likely will not hold up in any sort of legal examination.
