Walmart Situation 06-20-2024, 05:19 AM
#1
I'm in a tricky situation wit a Walmart, I placed order last year big amount almost 3K and managed to get a refund after a while but my bank account got closed and they are not opening a new one for me and even if they did it won't have the same account number. They refunded me but refund is not going through after few tries I asked them to refund me via check but no matter how many times I call or text they always say they are gonna look into it and send me a check but I always receive follow up email that they initiated the refund via bank (original payment method) , then I tried to get a refund as a gift card but they said amount is too high and because of this they can't refund me via gift card. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do in this case?

First off, did the bank give you a reason as to why they closed your account? That would help to figure out what your options are.

They closed it because of negative balance(not related to walmart in any way) and I was told even if I open it account number won't be the same

It's been a little bit since I hit walmart, but I do believe you should be able to push supervisor to push through a check for you.

I didnt think about the gift card route. That could very well work.
