In-Store SE Examples #1
I recently started experimenting more with in-store SEs and here are some fun ones I've been getting more familiar with.
Apple Products (SB)
1. Purchase the Apple sealing stickers of your choice. (iPhone, Airpods, Headphones, Charger)
2. Go to a physical store and purchase/pick up your desired Apple Product. (Target/Walmart has the best results.)
3. Go to your home/car and open up the product however you normally would, be careful not to rip or scratch the box, and remove the main item.
(Optional but recommended) - Use a razor or sharp knife to cut off the excess stickiness from the original peel-off sticker.
4. Place a fake/older model of the product in the packaging and close the box. (You could get the same effect with a small rock or something of similar weight)
5. Use the previously purchased sealing stickers and reseal the box, being careful of placement and correctness.
(For your first couple of times performing this, it may be wise to take a photo of the container before you remove everything so you have a point of reference to work off of.)

Most Clothing Items
Stores such as Dillard's or Nordstrom can easily be SEd with fake products, I have done this countless times and each time there are zero hiccups.
An example of a recent hit on Dillard's is detailed below.
I had some fake sweaters and hoodies sitting around in my closet, and I'm definitely not going to wear them, so I took a gray Ralph Lauren knit and placed an order to pick up a similar one from Dillard's. The sweater I had was gray and the one I ordered was a cream color. I made sure to pay the extra $9 for gift wrapping so when I picked up the item it was sealed and not visible from the outside. Once I picked up the order, I simply went back to my car, grabbed the fake sweater, brought it inside, and told them that I was given the wrong color/size. They were very apologetic and offered to reship the sweater to my house, but I asked for my money instead and told them I had a birthday party to get to, they refunded me promptly.
This could work at any large retail store for name-brand products, but be sure to not try to pull this at any of the company's specific stores, I wouldn't recommend this at a Ralph Lauren location, just as I wouldn't recommend EBing an Apple store, just be smart and use common sense.

Most Fragrance Bottles
1. Purchase a fragrance set or single bottle in a sealed container with none of it showing from the outside.
2. Remove the bottle and pour a small bit of water inside the box/container, then spray a few squirts of the fragrance in the container as well.
(Patience is key, it's best for the water to be soaked in and dried)
(Optional but recommended) - Find some small bits of similarly colored glass and drop them into the container.*
3. Return to the store and tell them that once you got home and opened the box, the bottle was shattered inside. Tell them you cleaned out as much as possible but might have missed some pieces*
  - They might question if you dropped it at any point or if it hit anything, but remain adamant that nothing happened to the container from the store to when you originally opened it
They typically will offer to either replace the fragrance or give you your money back entirely and from here you do whichever is best for you. I'd recommend to get it replaced and return it at a later date, but you could also just grab your money and run.

Computer Processors
(Purely an example of a recent success by me)
Went into BestBuy with a friend and purchased an Intel processor (i9-13900k.) ~$600
Went to my car and removed the chip.
Walked back in and said that my friend wanted to see what a chip looked like but when we opened the box it wasn't there.
Confused employee refunded the money as a normal return and then put a sticky note on the Intel box for someone else to deal with
Left with the processor and my money all within 15 minutes.

Anything is possible if you are creative enough, just review your area's laws and be safe. Make sure you are fully comfortable and confident with any SE you perform in person, you must keep your composure and remain respectful throughout the entire process for the best results.
IN PERSON SEs ARE EXTREMELY RISKY COMPARED TO ONLINE SEs PLEASE BE SAFE AND PERFORM ALL ACTIONS WITH CAUTION

The last one lmao😂

..regarding the iPhone swap with dummy you mentioned please check my thread on how I failed at MediaMarkt 🥲…I won’t recommend doing that.
What you can do however is swap real AirPods with fake AirPods because they’re indistinguishable from the original

I think it's far too risky to try to do things in person.

I only did an iPhone 14 Plus once, but have had repeated success with Airpods, I'll keep that in mind

I've had consistent success with in-person SEs, as long as you have a good story to back up your return/issue and plausible deniability you should be fine

Thanks for the guide, appreciate it. I was thinking to do something similar,.
The forum is going downhill.

I have many SEs I would like to share with other contributors. Unfortunately, that is a very small percentage of the overall community, and getting smaller by the day. I have no incentive to contribute publicly and reward the undeserving. If you feel the same and would like to discuss privately, please reach out.

Congrats on the processor, although I am curious as to where one can find 1:1 airpod replicas

i use alibaba, i have a supplier on there and you can purchase 10 at a time for around 210 shipped. (These are AirPod Pro 2s)
You pretty much make your money back with 2 sales. People spend a little less with no box or charger, so expect to get around $90 per

I guess not. It’s been a year now and nothing happened so far. Still using the phone
