I've seen posts on this site where people have talked about this concern, even when buying through sellers such as Amazon.  Would be good to nail down the exact policies of different sellers, including Apple themselves.

I'd personally be concerned about linking my apple account, complete with my name, address and payment details, to a device I had SE'd, but that's just me.

We Share the Same worries I would be concerned too with putting in my information

From what I have seen they rarely brick IPhones.
There are a handful of companys that do brick them, but they are usually avoided.

Have not seen anyone get in trouble by linking their Apple account, but it certainly is worrisome.

I don't actually think I've ever saw apple brick an iPhone I've heard of it but never actually saw it.

neither have I seen anybody getting trouble for linking their account but I'd still sell the device or exchange it for another one just so I wouldn't have to worry in the future but that's me.

Exactly. It is kind of scary, but I don't think Apple cares enough and doesn't want to waste time and resources investigating every single SE'd Iphone to such an extent.

this is correct. however, as another user stated, it is a hit or miss. I've had a lot of success using MEB for apple watches, but some failed for no reason. I have yet to try iPhones but I have seen success with a few friends who contacted apple stating that they found the screen shattered upon opening the box.

Basically the phone is missing from the box the iPhone box not the brown box specifically
