Swapping laptops on amazon SE 11-04-2023, 06:57 PM #1
I have a surface laptop and I was thinking of buying the newer, higher spec model and swapping the laptop and returning it. The frame and color of the new laptop is the exact same, however there is a barely noticeable crack in the current display. What are the chances I can get away with repackaging the laptop and returning it?

-The laptop I plan to swap is in great condition on the exterior with the exception of the glass.

They will check it and when they see the crack it’s done.
You could try and claim you received a second hand laptop with a crack in the screen so you want to return it for a refund?

Doubtful for high value electronics. Few years ago they came down on resealing apple boxes so will probably inspect all electronics for more than a few hundred now,

They will check the serial etc and see its the wrong one. I'd love to say it would work but it won't.

Do DNA instead.

i did it with an apple watch through amazon. worked perfectly.
