LIT Adorama, B&H, or Expercom? 09-16-2023, 04:03 PM

I'm planning a ~$4k refund from one of these companies, they're the only places other than apple (who may be able to brick devices) that sell a particular MacBook I'll be refunding. I can get UPS insider scans, but only UPS. (Country is US btw)
I'm wondering which I should do. I've tried to do research but I didn't turn up much. So, I'm asking everyone here if they have ever hit one of these companies and if so, how it went. (Even if you didn't do the exact method I'm planning, LIT)
What I did find out:
Adorama: A lot of photography stuff and old school looking website, which is a little bit promising. Their return policy says:
"For the first 30 days after your purchase you may return merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges."
But later they say:
"If a product is received defective or incorrect, please please submit an online return request or contact us immediately and we will do whatever possible to resolve the issue. We will only cover return shipping if we are notified prior to return." (Underlining mine)
If the shipping is on me, then I could see them saying "LIT? Too bad. You should have paid for insurance" or something like that. However, if I claim there was something wrong and they pay for shipping and it's LIT, odds are they'd see it as their responsibility to refund me. I looked in their TOS for anything about returns/refunds and found nothing.
B&H: Also a photography store - their site looks strangely similar to Adorama''s. I used to hear about them being SEed a lot, but less now. I've heard they're fairly strict. Return policy:
"If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to B&H within 30 days of the delivery date"
They also note:
"Return shipping fees for verified defective or damaged items will be reimbursed."
This makes me not want to go with them unless I hear others have had a lot of success with them. The mention of "verified" defective implies they'd do some sort of checking, and "reimbursed" implies that they might have me pay for the shipping and then later reimburse me, but if I pay for the shipping, they could say the LIT is on me. Nothing useful in TOS.
Expercom: Kind of a bizarre site; they make a big deal about being an "Apple Premier Partner" (as are the other two sites) and seemingly only sell Apple products. They are basically disqualified because of this on their return policy:
"Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend shipping your return with a carrier that provides tracking and insurance. Expercom is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit."
If you've had success with them definitely reply, but I'm pretty sure they're a no.
I'm leaning towards Adorama but let me know your thoughts and if you've hit any of these sites.
