Hi, I'm doing a warranty claim and they agreed to send replacement but I need to provide proof of purchase
I'm thinking of making an online purchase with a retailer and change the date on online receipt and use that and then cancel the order. would manufacture check with the retailer to see order is accurate?

update: SE was successful. I made a purchase online of the same item and then cancelled it. changed the date of the receipt and took a screenshot that didn't even include the order number and they never asked for it.

i found a picture of a ripped pack online and started my claim on that, and said it broke in wilderness and had to leave it behind.
