The serial numbers of equipment from "Risk Zone" #1
Im beginner in SE.
Re-reading the posts on these pages and on the @mothered blog (when it was opened), I often came across an important detail about the fact that electronics can be disabled by company owners using a serial number.

I would be grateful if you could share your experience, which brands and equipment can be classified as "at risk zone".

Thank you all for sharing your experience

Correct.

Oculus Is one example, whereby they can track and see If the device Is In use, then take action to disable It. Sony has the capacity to blacklist the serial number and remove access to all online services. At one point, Apple was disabling their Apple Watches, but I'm not sure If It's still the case nowadays.

I think a good rule of thumb (or finger, or toe) is if none of the device's primary functions require being connected to the internet you are good to go. That is to say that if one of the devices functions simply will not work without being connected to the internet then it is at risk. @mothered would you say that is accurate ?
